We are throwing out as many rules as we can to make the best job possible. But, some rules are required to make gigs work. Please help us keep gigs available by following these basic rules…

Sign up only for gigs that fit your schedule

  • You can work up to 2-3 gigs in one day as long as they don’t overlap varying by site

  • You can work up to 9 gigs in one week (36 hours) (may vary by site)

  • Please cancel by 2pm the day before with no penalty

  • If you need to cancel late due to an emergency or something comes up last minute, you can cancel the gig by requesting a replacement and add a note on details of the late cancelation.

  • Clock in and out

    • If you don’t clock in/out, we won’t know to pay you. See instruction video at the bottom of this page.

    • Be careful to clock into the right department

    • If you change departments, please go to the time clock and update the department in the clock.

    • You can clock in up to 3 min early so you’re at the workstation at gig start

  • Communicate with us

    • Tell the department supervisor, or the on site EmployGig person if something isn’t right

    • The sooner you tell us about a problem, the faster we can fix it

  • Be flexible

    • Sometimes the work changes and we need to re-assign you

    • If you’re not comfortable with the work, let us know

  • Follow the facility rules

    • Please read follow first day website directions when you receive the link through text. This will inform you of what to wear, what to bring and how to get there.

    • Some facilities are FDA-approved, so no food is allowed on the floor, only water. If you are unsure, please ask us.

    • For safety reasons, some facilities you can have your phone with you, but cannot use it on the floor. No headphones.

    • Some gigs start with a pre-shift meeting. Please attend.

    • No bags or purses are allowed in the building. Only clear bags and a lunch box (lunch box is subject to search)

    • Incase of emergency or injury please follow our injury reporting which is posted at each individual location.

  • Most new gigs are posted 5 days in advance of the work date

    • We post more gigs throughout the week as we get new orders

    • Turning on the app notifications to be notified of new gigs and EmployGig announcements is the quickest way to see updates

    • Gigs post around 3:30pm local time

  • Payday is every Friday for work the prior week

  • Fintwist/ComData Pay Card (Website) Instructions

    • Your activation code is your social security number without dashes.

    • Set up an online account to access your paystubs and setup direct deposit (instructions)
